Life, Faith, Confidence
Many years ago the Lord began to prepare me for ministry as He gently affirmed in my heart that one day I would be in full-time ministry. Prior to the calling of ministry, I worked as Tennessee coordinator for Families in Action which was located in Jackson, Tennessee.
Also, I was a director for a State funded program as the Director of a Primary Prevention/Intervention program for high risk adolescents and families. While employed in this position, I worked as a consultant for Juvenile Court. Later, I was employed at Fortwood Mental Health Center where I worked as a counselor providing Alcohol and Drug and Mental Health counseling. Also, while at Fortwood Mental Health Center, I provided counseling for adolescents and adults which I continued to work for this agency until the Lord opened the door for me to work in full-time ministry.
I have served on various committees such as; Tennessee State steering community (Intervention/Prevention) Volunteer Board of Directors for the Department of Corrections, Chattanooga area Task Forces, Scenic City Women’s Network, Race Reconciliation Committee (seeking to encourage Christians to minister to others outside of their cultural boundaries) and various other committees. Also, I developed the Inmate Speaker’s Bureau program through the Department of Correction and the Early Elementary Intervention Program. Presently, I am presently on the Board of the National Memorial for the Unborn. The National Memorial for the Unborn is a ministry that ministers to women that have had abortions. This wonderful ministry provides a memorial for these parent(s) and a place to honor their child and prayerfully began healing emotionally and spiritually. Also, I recently joined the Board of Score International, where I will again have the wonderful opportunity to counsel and provide conferences internationally.
By God’s grace, I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Behavior, Master’s Degree in Education and a Doctorate degree in which I provide Christian Counseling. I am a licensed counselor through the Tennessee Board of Mental Health and Mental Retardation, and clinically certified through the College of Forensic Counselors as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and a Domestic Violence Counselor. I am also Nationally Certified as an addictions counselor. Also, I have my credentials as a Sex Trafficking provider; and as an Alcohol and Drug counselor (NAADAC). I am also awaiting the Board’s process and approval of my Counseling credentials as a Juvenile Treatment specialist and Co-Occurring disorder specialist.
In 1997 the Lord birthed Hope Unlimited Ministry in my life and called me into full-time ministry which “Praise the Lord” Hope Unlimited Ministry is now located in Uganda Africa and Cap-Haitian Haiti and Hyderabad India, which are countries that I have traveled. Hope Unlimited Ministry which is a ministry for Single mothers and children; and hurting women that offers many Christ-centered services to Single Parent families, ministries and agencies. These services are provided at no cost.
Yet, as a servant of Jesus Christ, I lovingly seek to be the heart, hands and feet of Jesus Christ. God’s vision for Hope Unlimited Ministry is to reach these families and a hurting, lost and dying world for Jesus Christ that they may be saved and have true “Hope”.
By God’s grace, I also provide various Christ-centered programs, counseling, conferences, retreats, workshops, Bible studies and services to the Single parent community and those in need here in the USA and around the world. By God’s grace, the ministry received the 2022 Tennessee Governor’s Award of Excellence. Also, the Lord enables me to reach many through the two Radio programs that I host weekly.
Only, by God’s grace, I have published various books through the My Journey Home series such as: Lord, I Surrender, There is Hope for Single Parents and Hurting Women, My Journey Home: Jesus Christ, the Rescuer of Wounded Emotions, and Jesus Christ, My Hope in Grief: My Gentle Giant, Victor Carr. Also, “Hope beyond the Pain”; a Book and Study Guide for adolescents. By God’s wonderful grace, I am preparing to complete another book.
I have also provided magazine articles for Good News Magazine and will begin again in the fall.
